    he would say "Athem". On saying "Athem" the scythe and himself would go round the field like a pair of horses under a mowing machine. Every day he would mow five acres as much as the horses would mow nowadays. The remains of the famous scythe is in Tom Grime's house in Kilcumney and the box which the famous "Athem" was in. This story was told to me by Tom Grimes.
