    Shrove Tuesday. Shrove Tuesday is the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday. On that night pan-cakes are made.
    Hallow Een. Hallow Een is a great night for the young people in this locality. A tub of water is brought in, and boys and girls dive for money and apples. An apple is tied out of the ceiling the hands of the boys are tied together behind their backs and whoever is able to take a bite out of it get it all.
