  1. 1. In the townsland of Carlandtown there is gold hidden under a bush in Wade's fort. One time a man dreamt, three nights in succession about it and he got another man to go with him, so they went and began to dig for it, and as they were digging down in the soil they heard a black dog coming up at them barking fiercely. It began to snow and they closed the hole and went off and the gold is there since.
    This treasure is hidden in the town land of Carlanstown, Parish of Castlepollard, Co Westmeath.
