  1. I. Children with whooping cough could be cured by getting red string from their godmother and putting it on their necks in the name of God and wearing it for nine days.
    II. The whooping cough could be cured by passing three times under a she-ass.
    III. The whooping cough could be cured by giving sweet milk to a ferret to drink and giving portion that was left to the child to drink.
    IIII. Get a hair worm and put it in a cloth and wear it round the neach for nine days
    The Cure for "Wild-fire".
    If suffering from wile "fire" a gold ring rubbed to it will cure it.
    The Cure for Ring Worm.
    The ring-worm can be cured by applying ink or by a plaster of sulphur and grease.
