  1. Gneeve is the name of my district. It is situated in Co Cavan in the parish of Mount-Nugent and in the barony of Clonmahon.
    To the north of Gneeve is Farrenconnell to the west Enagh to the south Ballinrink and to the east Clontyduffy.
    The river seperates Gneeve from Ballinrink or Baile na Rinnche which means the town-land of dances. On the border between Gneeve and Farrenconnell is a wood called the nutwood because there is a great number of hazel trees growing. A small wood between Gneeve Enagh is called "The Rock" because is on account of there being many rocks in it.
