    The Quakers' Church
    Told by Thomas Smyth aged 50 years Crossdrum, Oldcastle Co. Meath.
    There stands on the side of a hill at Castlecor the ruins of an old church where quakers used to pray. It is said that if you went out at night you would see the quakers.
    One night a man went out to gather firewood and as he came near the church he saw the church was new. He heard the people praying, soon a branch fell from a tree and struck him on the head and he fell dead. As night came near his parents went in search of him. They found him and they were filled with grief. It is said that numbers of people were killed there.
