  1. There is a fort in Mr. Mac Enroes' field with one bush in it, now half-decayed. About twenty eight years ago a butcher named Joseph Quinn came out to fence, and even though a neighbour had told him not to touch the bush he being a wonderfully strong man said he could cut it now as he did and when old Tom Galligan the game keeper was on his rounds he came across the butcher ____ and he in great agony beside the bush and he having it half cut. His mouth (God bless the mark) was at the back of his head. He lived for nearly a week but was in great agony all the time.
