  1. One night a man named Peter Mc Guinness of the Chapel Hill Grangegeith dreamed he would find a half-crown in the middle of a gap on his own farm in the morning. So he got up in the morning and ate his breakfast and went to this gap that he dreamed about the night before. He found the lovely new half-crown in the spot he dreamed it would be. He put it in his pocket and did not tell anybody. So the next night he dreamed the same thing again, and the next morning he found another new half-crown in the very same place. He still told nobody and the same thing happened the next night and he could not sleep the rest of the night thinking about it. So in the morning he got up very early and went to the gap and found the same thing.
    During the day he could not resist telling his brother so he told him. The next night he did not dream about anything so in the morning he went to the gap but he got nothing at all. He would have got one every morning if he
