    A cure for ear-ache is to stuff the ears with wadding. It helps if a few drops of warm oil (Castor or Olive) is put on the wadding.
    A cure for a sore throat is to wear a silk stocking round the neck.
    The sucking of a clove relieves toothache.
    To get rid of a wart tie a hair round it.
    A fasting spit is supposed to cure a wart also.
    Another cure for a wart is to put the juice of a dandelion stalk on it.
    If a person cannot sleep, it is a good idea to get out of bed and walk up and down.
