Long ago wooden ploughs were used, and I believe there is one in the district still, although it is never used. Spades are bought in the shops.
    The names of the potatoes sown in my district mostly are: Champions, Aran-chiefs, Aran-Banners, Shamrocks, Leinster Wonders, Kerrs Pink, and Colleens.
