  1. The name of the townland, I live in is Doolistown. The parish of Trim. In my townsland there are about thirteen families. There are about forty six people children in all. Reilly is the most common name. Nearly all the houses are cottages with tiles or slates.
My townland is supposed to have got its name from a lios or fort on a small hill supposed to have being in it in ancient times called "Oubhlios". There is only one person over seventy in it and she is a woman but she does not know Irish, or tell stories in English.
Houses were far more numerous in former times. There are none in ruins
