  1. Food in Olden Times
The people long ago ate plain healthy food, potatoes, oaten bread, and striabout. Their tables were hung on the walls. In the morning people did work on the farm before eating any food. They used to make bread of oaten meal without any flour being mixed with it. It was baked on a griddle over the fire.
