The entrance gate, with lodge complete,
    Most beautiful and new,
Its worth your while to walk ten miles,
    To take the pleasant view.
The stately mansion on the height,
    The silvery lake below
    Where proud swans gently glide,
    And pleasure boats, also.
Where ladies bright take their delight
    To make their evening fun
    Sailing by the splendid garden
In full front of the Summer sun.
Such a grand display of flowers gay,
    Of varieties most rare,
    Comparing each for beauty
And preserved with skill and care.
With vineries and wall fruit trees,
    Well nourished on each side,
Just half the beauty of this place
    I'm unable to describe.
It was getting late, I left my seat
    And homeward did retire,
    Contented with my rambles
And well pleased at my desire.
