    Barney O'Rourke was a famous mower. He could mow about one acre per day.

    He was a great walker. He was able to his work in Blackrock every morning and home at night when the chapel was a building. He is dead now about 10 years.

    He was famed as the best turfcutter in the parish. Many a time he cut turf on John Byrne's bog and the people used to flock around to see him. He is dead about nine or ten years.
