  1. Here are some tricks that are played at Hollow Eve.
    Taking down gates and putting them upon trees.
    There are games the children like to play, putting money in a tub of water and dipping down in the water to get it without using their hands.
    Then they hang up an apple on the line and put their hands behind their backs and see who will get a bite of the apple first.
    Putting a ring in a barm brack and who ever gets the ring first is said to be married first.
