    Situated in my father's field is a stone known as the wart stone.

    Apparently, in years gone by potatoes were always planted in ridges in this district.
    In the centre of Michael Longs field in Lower Rath there is a very large hill not unlike an old rath or fort. The people say that in the side of this hill there used to be a cave and that money was found in it. Some people still claim that it contains more treasure should any person be fortunate enough to discover its exact position.
