    Heroes of Long Ago.
    A great many stories were told by historians around the Irish fireside about Finn and the Fianna .About three decades ago I have heard from some of them that Finn was brought up by a woman who was his fathers nurse .According to his tale Cúl Finns father was slain before Finn was born. The woman watched the Finn's mother lest any harm should come to the child.
