  1. There are a good deal of forts in this parish there are two in Ballard one in Lischane one in Milford one in Spanish Point and many others.
    Most of the forts are round with furze bushes and bluebells growing on them.
    Each fort is in view of another because it is said that if you stand on one you will see two or three more.
