There was once a man who had a smoking chimney and was very anxious to get a remedy for it.

There was once a man who had a smoking chimney and was very anxious to get a remedy for it. An old trades man called on him once day and said he would tell him how to stop the smoke if he gave him a glass of whiskey.
The man was delighted and gave the fellow the desired liquor. The tradesman drank the whiskey off in a gulp and said "never put a fire in it Sir."
