When he had killed three Landlords he was brought to court before being brought to court he wrote a letter to the officer whom he saved. On the day of the trial the officer appeared in court and said that he thought that a brave man like Quinlan could not commit those crimes. This suggestion freed the criminal from being hanged Shortly after the crime he went to the house out of which he was evicted. He had no gun but went to the back of the house where he got some cabbage stumps and entered the house through the back window The bailiffs were so terrified that they went to go up the chimney.
