    She challenged him to meet her in the same place on the following night to have a fair fight. The man being frightened told the priest on the following day. The priest and the man arrived ta the appointed place on the following night. The priest made a ring of holy water. She could not get near them while the holy water lasted. When it was out she hit with one finger and told him that she had him beaten. the fight was finished. the man was never the same after. He died a short time after that. She was driven into Bay Lough.

  2. Petticoat Loose had way laid several persons on the road near Bay lough. She had struck terror into the countryside. It happened that a number of guests were one night present at a wedding party. One of the party related the story to a Father X who was present. The priest asked the man to go with him to the place when they reached the place they saw her coming towards them in a terrible fury. The priest began to read from his breviery and the spirit began "to set back" before them. After he had been reading for
