The horses are fed with mangolds, and hay. Irons shoes are put on the horses hoofs with nails by the smith at the forge, and this keeps them from getting lame, and keeps their hoofs in good condition.
When people are calling pigs they say "Bock, bock", calling ducks they say "Fionach, fionach", calling turkeys they say "Biadh, biadh" calling hens they say "Tiiuc, tiuc", when calling cows they say "poo, poo" and when calling sheep the say "olla, olla".
When cocks are continually crowing people say that someone is dying.
