- The following are the old cures in my locality.
Whooping Cough, donkey's milk is given to the sufferer.
A stye in the eye, the sign of the cross is made on the eye with a gold wedding ring and look through the ring with the eye that is sore.
To stop blood, put a two shilling piece to it tie it firmly with a band.
For warts, rub a snail to the wart and put the snail on a white thorn bush according as the snail is withering the wart will wither also.
