  2. The old cure for measles was to boil an egg hard an put plenty of salt in it and give one every morning for nine mornings to the person that had the measles.
    The cure for mumps was to heat salt and put it in a woollen stocking and put it around the neck of whoever had the mumps.
    The cure for a cut was the good leaf, it grows with the potatoes and withers
