  1. In the cowsheds long ago. The walls were made of mud and the roof was made of "freak." The cows were tied by the horns with a sugan. There was a pole driven into the wall and the sugan joined on to it.
    The beds were of straw and furze. It was put into a heap until Spring time and then it was put on the crops.
