  1. Long ago there lived a man in Glendaskough. His name was Fox. For a long time he could make no butter even the churn would not turn. A stranger came into his house one evening, Mr Fox said "I can't make any butter Sir." The stranger said "I will make it for you." The strange man then went to Mr Fox's garden and took the sock from the timber plough and put it into the fire. When it was melted, he went to the churn and made the butter.
