    Some time ago there was a family living in the country.

    Some time ago there was a family living in the country. They had a very beautiful child, about twelve months old. This baby was very quiet, but after a time he got very cross and delicate. He continued so day and night, and his mother could not go out to (go) do anything but he was screaming and roaring.
    One evening a neighbouring boy came in, and the mother of the child said "Please, Pat, will yo mind the baby, while I am going for a bucket of water to the well?" "Why not, Mrs? " said he.
    She took the bucket and went to the well. When she was gone, the boy was rocking the cradle, and the baby sat up and picked up a
