  1. I often saw my brother making snares. He got eight wires together and he cut every (u) second one and there was a loop at one end. Next he put a piece of stitch in the loop and he tied the other end to a pot lid. He now kept twisting the lid until all the wires were twisted together. Then he put one end into the loop and he tied a piece of rope to the end of it. He tied the rope to a stitch about a foot long and he put a point on the stitch so that it would go down in the ground. That is how he made a snare.
