  1. I often made a popgun. I got an elder stick and I cut the middle out of it with a knife. Then I got an ash stick and I fitted it into the hole in the elder stick. I fitted is so as to be airtight. Then I put a piece of a raw potato in the elder and I shoved the ashstick down. The pressure of air drove the piece of potato out very quickly.
