    returning late at night.
    From Clonmel after selling wheat. This went on for a considerable time until at length the Arch-Bishop of Cashel granted permission to one of his priests to banish this pest. This priest banished her to a wild and lonely lake in the Knockmealdown mountains.
    This lake has since been known as Petticoat Loose's lake. All went well for some time but this evil spirit began again to pay her nocturnal visits to the roads on the wild mountainside near the lake. The priest was again given permission to put her away and this time he sent her spirit to the red sea.
