This verse is sung by people begging before Christmas. Christmas Eve the youngest member of the family lights Christmas candles and there is a Christmas candle left burning in every window. The candles are supposed to show light to Our Lady as she passes on midnight. On Christmas Even all children hang up their stockings for Santa Clause to fill with sweets, toys and other nice things.
Christmas morning every priest can say three masses. Christmas day everybody has fowl for dinner and sweet cake for tea.
