says "That we may be all alive together this time twelve months". When a person obliges you, you thank them, if they are unmarried by wishing them a good "sonucair".
When speaking of anything living of value, a person should say "God bless him - her - it", as otherwise the thing spoken of might be "overlooked" - i.e. all the good luck of that thing taken away. Some of us may have quite unconsciously the "bad eye", and anything looked at by us would cease to thrive and suffer every kind of misfortune. This bad effect is completely counteracted by saying "God bless"-

Some people have a "bad stroke" also. A stroke from a hurley used by them when playing, or a stone or weapon thrown by them causing grievous harm, when a similar stroke from another would "be nothing".
