    In the year 1870, thee flax industry was going on in this locality and surrounding districts.

    In the year 1870 the flax industry was going on in this locality and surrounding districts. Linen was made out of it. The seed was set in the month of March and was left growing all the summer. My grandmother used to grow it and get it ready for thread.
    In September it was cut and made into sheaves. It was then carried to a river and left there for a month or
