Well said the traveller "there is a great chieftain living near Glin and he has a haunted castle and any man the chieftain got to stay there for a night was found dead in the morning". Tom hearing this said he should go and have a talk to the chieftain about it. Next morning Tom went to the chieftain's house where he met several men before he could get to where the chieftain was living. At long last he met the chieftain and asked had he a haunted castle. "I have" said the chieftain "and I will give three big crocks of gold to the man who will sleep in it for three nights". "Very well" said Tom "I will". The Chieftain
