    three or four inches deep and it is only the fit of a halfpenny in the bottom, and that is why it is called Tobairín a leath-phinginne.
    The old man knelt down beside it and started praying for a little time. He then washed his eyes in it and his sight was restored to him immediately. He knelt down again and thanked the Almighty God for the great miracle he worked upon him. Since then all people who are blind or have bad sight go to that well, they wash their eyes in it, and it is said they are cured.
