  1. Once there lived in the district of Old Mill a married couple and they had one child. One day when the father was gone to work the mother was washing and she went out to a stream for a bucket of water while the child was asleep in the cradle.
    When she came in she noticed that queer change had come over her child, he was crying and was very old looking. When the father came home she told him what happened.
