- The "rocket" field has a curious history: a little girl wearing a new frock (Gaedilg - Racait) was espied by a priest passing by and the field has since been called the "Rocket" (Racait = gúna)
- Two fields, the property of Patk. Kiely, Temple Athea, are called respectively, "the stocking" and "the handkerchief" - Peggy Kiely
- Díth-Gheata:- a name of a field, the property of John Dalton, Knocknagorna probably "the gateless field" - there is no gate at present at any rate
