  1. Local Cures
Nearly in every parish long ago there was an old witch-doctor either a man or a woman and to this person all the people of the parish went to get their ailments cured as they had great belief in the witch doctor.
If a person had the juandice boil a dock leaf for about an hour in mild and then let it simmer for about three hours and if the ill person drinks the juice it is to be a cure. A cure for warts is to rub the white juice of the dandelion to the warts and after a time they wear away.
There are a few sores, and ailments cured by the animals such as the ferret.
