    Up to the year 1840 there were three bakeries in Carrigaline, Connor's, Cantillon's and Coleman's.

    Up to the year 1840 there were three bakeries in Carrigaline, Connor's Cantillon's and Coleman's. The dough was then hand mixed much in the same way as it is mixed by the housewife when baking bread. When the machine for mixing the dough became common Connor's and Coleman's closed.
