    The horse was very quiet and never before or after refused to pull the car. The moment he sat in she the horse backed into the dyke. When he told him to clear out of the car Fitzgerald got into a fit of laughing and jumped out. The horse immediately went off as usual.

  2. The mare and foal strayed away one evening and when they went looking for them along a road in Ballinakilla they saw a light coming towards them from Leamlara Wood. So they waited till it came on and they found it was the mare and foal was coming and they galloped on till they came to the stable door. The door was closed. They found the mare steaming like she'd be after having a long gallop. So they left her in and she was dead in the morning.
