  2. The mare and foal strayed away one evening and when they went looking for them along a road in Ballinakilla they saw a light coming towards them from Leamlara Wood. So they waited till it came on and they found it was the mare and foal was coming and they galloped on till they came to the stable door. The door was closed. They found the mare steaming like she'd be after having a long gallop. So they left her in and she was dead in the morning.
