A crowd was playing court at Cotters of Ballinakilla and on leaving home Fitzgerald of Ballycrana was going home He met a woman with a basket at a place called Doyles Gate of Killgoura on the road to Midleton. She pulled a pack of cards out of the basket and hit him across the face. His mouth was turned back to his poal. The priest was sent for and he brought it back again nearly.
