    In Keegans land of Knockaheem there is the ruin of a house used as a hospital in the time of the Famine. There a power of people was buried and crowds of them died during the moving to the hospital and were buried coffinless.

  2. The old road from Cork or Cobh to Tallow in Co. Waterford evidently ran through Pigeon Hill by Leamlara Cross to the Pound Cross at the top of Lisgoold Hill and towards Walshtown.
