  1. There are not as many weddings now as there used to be several years ago, because the people now say that they cannot afford to get married.
    The weddings long ago were much nicer than the ones now long ago there used to be a "match" made between a boy and a girl.
    Some time before the wedding some friends of the boy would visit a girls parents, and tell them that their daughter would be suitable for the boy they know. He may be living a good many miles from where the girl is living and he has not seen her yet. If the father of the girl agreed, then
