fly low it is a sign of rain, and when the crows fly low it is another sign of rain. When the cat turns his back to the fire we're sure to have bad weather.
When the clouds of dust rise in the road it is the sign of rain. When the distant hills appear near it is also a sign of rain.
When the sky has a coppery colour it is a sign of thunder.
When the smoke takes a direct line of ascent from the chimney it is a sign of fine weather.
When the fire makes a whistling noise it is the sign of a storm and when the kettle is red in the bottom it is a sign of rain.
