  1. A king "Taoiseach" lived in Ballykinley in a place called Ballintowtaoiseach Baile an Tighe Taoisig A field there is known as "Páirc an Tighe Mhóir", and there his house stood. He was well liked and consoled the people in trouble.
    He had an only child, and to save him from drowning he set about building a castle in Caherdrinna from which height the country for twenty miles around can be seen.
