    Course and also John Dahill of Ballyhea.
    Tanning leather was carried on by Hanes of Broad Street in a large scale it is now owned by Lane's of Cork. Barrel making was the means of livelihood for John Sheehan and J. Leo Main Street and also W. Riardon of Jail Lane and John Hasset of Miller Lane and they were known by the name of coopers. Paddy McGrath of Broad Street was the best nailer.
    There was a lime kill outside the town a distance of about two miles it was called Saunders mill and another owned by Mr. Fleming they are still in existence but not working.
