"Evening red and morning grey guides the traveller on his way".
"Evening grey and morning red brings the rain down on the traveller's head." The former phrase is undoubtedly a great sign of fine weather, whilst the latter fortells bad weather. If the sun's rays appear like Moses' horns, if white at setting, or shorn of its rays, or goes down into a bank of clouds on the horizon, bad weather is expected.
