    In the district of Charleville and for many miles outside it people get married presently at any time of the year but not so previously as that ceremony was carried out principally from the 6th January and during Shrove. In olden times the month of May was looked upon as an unlucky month for marriage. Also in far gone days the people considered Fridays and Sundays out of the question and on the other hand, folks nowadays say: "Monday
