  1. Old Crafts
    There were many different types of industries carried on in this district in the olden times, such as candle making, basket making, nail making and mineral waters.
    The candle industry was confined chiefly to Mr. Dwane who resided in the Main Street. His workplace was commonly known as the "Candle house" which site is now occupied by Mr. John Quinn a boot maker. Mr. Dwane's private residence is at present owned by Mrs. MacCarthy who carries on grocery. All those who were engaged
